Learn to knit the Sk8er Hat, a fun and polished stranded colorwork hat worked from the top down. In this class, we’ll walk through the unique construction of the hat, including the circular cast-on, crown shaping, and stranded colorwork. You choose if you would like to knit this hat on DPNs, Magic Loop, or on shorties. I have had the best luck knitting this colorwork on shorties.

We’ll also explore the techniques that give the hat its distinctive finish, including using a German short row to turn the work inside out and creating a clean i-cord bind-off for the brim.

This class will be held live via Zoom on Sunday, October 4 or 11 at 10a-12p. After registering, you’ll receive an email with the Zoom link and class details.

Please Note: You are responsible for purchasing and bringing the required yarn and pattern to class. Please have your pattern, yarn, and needles ready before the first class so we can spend our time together learning and knitting!
